It’s been a while since I’ve written. Yet, it needed to be in order for me to write to you today. There are times in our lives in which we need to reassess those things that we continue to do or not do. For me, it was important to take a break so I could be of best service when I wrote again.

I’ve been writing one newsletter a week, and sometimes two since 2007 and about 6 months ago I just was juggling too many balls up in the air.

Have you experienced this, and have you still kept going even though it was not in highest service to your wellbeing?

Granted, there are times in our lives we must endure circumstances because in our hearts we understand that it feels right. Yet there are other times in which everywhere you turn there are tons of signs telling you to STOP and consider what you are doing because things are not feeling in flow or ease.

You can feel the stress piling on you –

  • your traps (those muscles in between your neck and shoulders) feel tight and painful at times and headaches begin to follow
  • Or maybe for you, colds, allergies, stomaches, sinuses or other illnesses are coming up often.
  • Or another tell-tale sign is difficulty losing weight or gaining of weight 

Our bodies are always signaling us.

If the body isn’t enough for you to see the signs, you will see it in a difficult or frustrating relationship or many other types of interactions with others that are not uplifting or fun, but rather weighing you down. And if that’s not enough, you may see it in your depleting bank account or credit card debt. You see, whatever is going on in your outside world is a reflection of your inner world.

For me, at the end of last year I really hurt my lower back. I threw it out completely, unable to move properly for two months and when I could move it was not fluid, agile nor strong. In those moments, I was forced to really take a look.

My body was telling me “Girl, you better slow down and rest”. You see, not only was I working with 6-7 people on a personal coaching level, but I was also writing newsletters, working with people over the phone/skype, managing my Soulbody Method Online programs, being the head of the Biomechanics Department at the Human Garage, which entails a whole other set of work.

I barely could take a moment for myself and just breathe. I decided to take a step back because in order for me to share my light and knowledge in the best way, I had to see what my priorities were.

I ended up taking a couple of weeks away from working with anyone at all and took time off from my online programs and writing as well. I needed to nurture myself. The body has a way of showing you these things that are out of harmony or balance by giving you the message in which you will actually listen to. For me, the message was to put me fully out of commission on the physical level since movement and exercise is a BIG part of what I do.

I share this story with you because I want to make a clear illustration of the way life happens. I want to empower you and let you know that you are the creator of your life.

You make the choices. If you make choices coming from your heart, which in turn bring you lightness, love, joy, fun, enthusiasm, flow, ease then your body and the world around you will feel really amazing. That’s not to say that there are less than desirable circumstances that happen because there are many things outside of your control, like someone passing away or others behaviors/reactions or the president you didn’t want was elected, etc. All you can do in those moments is choose your behavior and perspective towards it and only do what is in your power that brings you to a state of peace within yourself.

When you make choices that come from beliefs or thoughts that are actually not true to yourself and instead come from others’ beliefs in which you had not really questioned to see if it actually felt true for you, then you are going to meet life with resistance, friction, hardship, conflict and challenge and your body and the world around you will reflect that as well.

Take your power back. Take ownership and responsibility. You are both a creator and co-creator, life doesn’t just happen to you. You happen to life.

How do you wish to show up?

So my friend, I will share with you that I am now in a place of more ease and grace. I am living my life so much more beautifully, freely, and balanced. The choices I have made has allowed me to create time for writing my newsletters that are so important to me because I am here to serve you in the highest way. I am here to guide you with this information so you understand your body in a more powerful way that creates real lasting change.

While soon I’ll be sharing more on exercise with some fun videos and great ideas for food, this content right here that I’m sharing with you right now is the biggest piece to the puzzle that generates your most desired body and life experience. That is what I’m committed to showing you.

So with all that being said, take a moment to REALLY look at your life-

  • How are your relationships, (list them)
  • How does your body feel and how does it appear
  • How is your health?
  • How is your bank account? Are your near your credit limit on your credit cards?
  • Are you having fun? Are you playing?
  • Are you living the kind of life you would want to live?

I want you to rate it from number 1-10, 1 being poor and 10 being beyond excellent that feels really great with a gold star and unicorn sticker to top it off?

Now assess each category to see what your options are that would enable you to bring those numbers higher. List a few things for each that would help. Get creative.
